Friday, September 11, 2020 - Cycle Day 6

Posted by Tara Simon on 9/11/2020

On this day nineteen years ago, our nation and our freedom was attacked by individuals who challenged our country’s way of life. On September 11, 2001, fellow patriots sacrificed their lives when four planes hijacked by terrorists used those planes to destroy landmarks and tried to crush our spirit as Americans. As New Yorkers, the emotions of that day are still raw in our hearts and minds, but that horrific act, motivated by hate, never crushed our spirit as a nation. Remember, as Americans, we believe in truth, justice, and equality and as human beings we value perseverance, courage, and kindness. This morning, I ask you to take a moment of silence remembering all of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so we may enjoy our freedoms, and on this Patriot Day, take a moment to go out of your way to be kind to others.
