WG Students Recognized by UNICEF

For 70 years and across 190 countries and territories, The United Nations International Children's Fund (UNICEF) has been working to defend the rights of children through programs that provide support for education, health, nutrition and more.

Woodglen Elementary School students raised $844.35 for UNICEF last year and were recognized for "...making a difference in the lives of children all around the world," with a certificate signed by the Programs Chairperson, Vicki Landman-Hopman.

In her letter, Ms. Landman-Hopman goes on to say that in total, over 800 Clarkstown elementary school students participated, collecting nearly $7,000 and that this donation will be tripled by another donar, raising the Clarkstown contribution to almost $21,000!
