Dec. 30, 2021 - Communication on Return to School

Dear Clarkstown Community,

We hope that everyone has had an opportunity to rest this week and all are as well as possible.
  • We have received communication from a number of staff and students indicating that they have tested positive for COVID over the past week.

  • We have remained in contact with our local colleagues and the Rockland County Department of Health for updates on any changes to health and safety protocols as well as potential new programs for students and staff.

  • At this time, it remains our intention to welcome back our staff and students on January 3rd for in person instruction.

  • Until we receive confirmation from the Rockland County Department of Health, our Health and Safety Protocols regarding quarantine will remain in effect. As soon as confirmation is received we will implement the new quarantine procedures as well as any other possible programs or resources made available to us to keep our students and staff safe and maximize their opportunity for in person instruction.

  • To help ensure our schools remain open and safe, please stay home if you or your child is ill, contact your medical provider and get tested if you have any COVID symptoms.

  • Students who tested positive on or after December 25th, per current guidance, must not return on January 3rd and should check with their school nurse for a return date.

  • Mask wearing, social distancing and hand hygiene protocols will remain important protections while at school.

Sincerely,
