Dear Clarkstown Community and Staff:
Please be advised that we learned today of three more individuals in our school community that have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. One individual is an employee at Felix Festa Middle School D School. Another is a parent of students at Little Tor Elementary School and Felix Festa Middle School C-School. The third individual is a parent of a child at Bardonia Elementary School.
Please keep in mind that these individuals were tested after the schools had been closed and students have not been together for more than a week.
I am asking that we keep in our thoughts and prayers all who have tested positive with the virus along with their family members.
As the availability of testing for COVID-19 increases, unfortunately we anticipate an increase in the number of positive cases. We will adjust our communication as needed going forward, ensuring you have access to the information you need.
Sincerely,
Susan Sherlock, F.N.P.

For all in our community, if you experience any symptoms, including dry cough, fever or shortness of breath, please contact your physician or other health provider immediately for guidance. We recommend that everyone continue to follow the CDC's recommendation of hand washing, social distancing, covering the mouth, coughing and sneezing into a tissue, etc.
As the availability of testing for COVID-19 increases, unfortunately we anticipate an increase in the number of positive cases. We will adjust our communication as needed going forward, ensuring you have access to the information you need.
