Blood Drive June 10, 2021

Dear Clarkstown North and South Communities,

The pandemic has affected our world in many different ways. One unfortunate outcome has been a marked decrease in the number of blood donations.  Needless to say this has left blood available for vital medical needs in dangerously short supply.  In past years CCSD has hosted many blood drives, but due to the need to restrict access to our buildings this year, we have not had the opportunity to participate in this valuable community service.

On Thursday, June 10th, the New York Blood Center is holding a blood drive in honor of Denis Muller, a South High School graduate. Denis recently needed support from his local blood bank for a serious medical condition.

The blood drive is being held at the West Nyack Fire House from 1pm -7pm.

You are eligible to donate if you are 17 years of age or older. 16 years old may donate with parental permission.

Please take advantage of this opportunity to be of service to those, like Denis, who rely on blood and its byproducts to survive.
See here for additional opportunities to share the gift of life and here to learn more about blood donations.
