North High School Sports Positive Case - March 26, 2021

Dear North High School Parents, Guardians and Staff,

We were informed a short time ago that a student at North High School has tested positive for COVID-19.  The Rockland County Department of Health will be notified and will conduct contact tracing.

The student was not in school during their infectious period, but did participate in  athletic activities with the North High School Football team. Those who were in close contact will be identified and informed by an athletics administrator, the school nurse and the Coordinator of Health Services who will also provide them the guidelines regarding quarantine.

As a precautionary measure and to allow appropriate time for contact tracing, the North High School Football game this evening has been cancelled. Information about a rescheduled date for the game will be provided at a later time from the Athletics Department.

Please be mindful that the pandemic is not over, and mitigation measures such as social distancing, wearing a mask and hand washing and hand sanitizing should continue.

Thank you.

Stay strong! Stay healthy!

Sincerely,

Chris Serra, Ed.D.
Director of Athletics
