Superintendent's Friday Roundtable - Live Stream Friday, March 26 @1-2 PM

Dear Clarkstown School Community:

I hope this communication finds you and your family members in good health and spirits.

Today, I am writing to promote the Superintendent’s Friday Roundtable, scheduled for tomorrow, March 26 at 1-2 p.m. This week, the topic is Athletics, and will include a focus on South High School student-athletes.

During a forthcoming Roundtable, we will have a review of North High School student-athletes.

My guests for tomorrow’s Superintendent's Friday Roundtable include the following individuals:

  • Dr. Chris Serra - Clarkstown Central School District Athletic Director
  • Khris Arvanites - South High School Athletic Coordinator
  • Gianna Caldera  - South High School Student, Girls Ice Hockey team
  • Francesca Arciniegas - South High School Student, Girls Swim team
  • Mike Scarpelli - South High School Football Coach
  • Dennis Riordan, Michael Spiegel, Johnny Maraia, Mark Maraia, and Joe Solimine - South High School Football Captains

The Roundtable session tomorrow is intended to allow the participants to reflect on their experiences and accomplishments with their respective sports. Dr. Serra and Mr. Aravanites will provide their perspectives on the challenges and the success while navigating high school athletics in the midst of an ongoing pandemic. I look forward to Coach Scarpelli’s viewpoints on spring football as well as his team’s season opening win last week.

In summary, the Superintendent’s Friday Roundtable is designed to place a focus on celebrating the success of our students and staff across the District.
