Revised Athletics Spectator Guidelines

Dear Clarkstown School Community:

We hope this communication finds you in good health and spirits.

We are writing to inform you about a shift in our spectator policy for athletic events as indicated below:

  • All Clarkstown student-athletes will be allowed two spectators each to attend the home games, a decision that aligns with Section I Athletics Executive Committee Guidelines

  • All spectators will be required to complete the Wellness Screening survey, wear masks and maintain appropriate social distancing.

  • We will also allow, consistent with the Section I Athletics Executive Committee  guidelines:
    • Outdoor sports: Both home and away athletes may have two spectators attend the contest.
    • Indoor sports: Only home athletes may have two spectators attend the contest in person.

The priority for the district is to return all students, K-12, to our schools inside 6-feet social distancing. Doing so will require a commitment on the part of the entire community with a focus on health and safety protocols: mask wearing, handwashing, social distancing, and avoiding large gatherings.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation and partnership while respecting the health and safety of all members of our school community.

Stay strong! Stay healthy!

Sincerely,
