FFMS 100% Remote / Returns to Hybrid Thursday, November 12th
Dear Festa Parents, Guardians and Staff,
This is an update to our communication Friday informing you that a Felix Festa 7th grade student in the A Cohort tested Positive for COVID-19. The student was in school during their infectious period on Wednesday, October 28.
The needed quarantine has placed additional pressure on the ability to keep Festa staffed sufficiently in all three schools: A School, C School, and D School. Based on 18 instructional staff members now being unavailable due to a combination of quarantine, leave of absences, vacant positions or long term illnesses, along with any additional routine absences, we will not be able to ensure adequate staffing across the entire Festa campus during this period.
As a result, the Felix Festa Middle School campus is on a 100% remote instructional model through Wednesday, November 11. All Felix Festa Middle School students will return to the Hybrid Instructional model on Thursday, November 12 which will be an “A” Cohort Day.
During this period of time for the 100% remote learning, students fully scheduled in the SPIRIT and STRIVE Programs will receive in-school instruction at Festa beginning on November 4. Additional information will be provided to these families.
Thank you for your cooperation and support of the Felix Festa Middle School community.
Stay strong! Stay healthy!
Sincerely,
Diane Mitchell, Ed.D.
