Update on Gov.’s Emergency Cluster Initiative

Dear Clarkstown Community,

In response to increasing numbers of COVID-19 cases in Rockland County, Governor Cuomo has established a new cluster action initiative which he recently announced.  Details regarding this action are available on the Governor’s website

Today, the Rockland County Government issued a public service alert advising of the Governor’s effort https://rocklandgov.com/

Included as part of this initiative is a map of the areas determined to be COVID-19 clusters and warning and precautionary zones. The Governor’s office today confirmed that Link Elementary School is in the yellow precautionary zone. Per the Governor’s outlined protocol, the school can remain open with mandatory weekly testing of a percentage of students and teachers/staff, as determined by the New York State Department of Health. The New York State Department of Health will release detailed guidance tomorrow.

We will provide the additional information as soon as it is available.

Sincerely,
