(June 7, 2021) Mask Mandate Still In Effect
Dear Clarkstown School Community:
I hope this communication finds you and your family members in good health and spirits.
As a follow-up to our communication on Saturday, June 5th regarding masks in schools, our District received correspondence from Dan Fuller, Deputy Secretary for Education in Governor Cuomo’s Office, confirming that the mask mandate is still in effect. In addition, he stated that they are anticipating a response from the CDC in the coming days, and will issue guidance accordingly.
We will inform you regarding any updates we receive from the New York State Department of Health and/or the Governor’s Office on the topic of masks in our schools.
Thank you.
Stay strong! Stay healthy!
Sincerely,
Martin D. Cox, Ed.D.
