2020 Movies to Watch

With another year on its way, the cinematic world is certain to bring more films to our theaters.  These movies will either go down in history, or be forgotten by us all and pass into obscurity. Regardless of what might happen, there are currently many upcoming films in 2020 we have our eyes on.

Ghostbusters Afterlife

Ghostbusters Afterlife           The original Ghostbusters of 1984 is viewed as a comedy classic, and it continues to be known as such to this very day.  However, the movie then proceeded to suffer from a sequel, followed by a reboot that divided the fans greatly.  Although the first film is still hailed as phenomenal, the overall series has not had the best record. This might change next year, when a sequel of the first two films will be released.  It will ignore the events of the reboot. Currently, we know little about film itself, except it will star Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts, who were all in the original two films.  It will not be released until July 10th, but until then, we can hope that this film will bring the series back to life.

Onward

Onward           It has been two long years since Pixar has released Coco, which was their most recent standalone movie.  But that will change next year when they release Onward in March, which tells the story of two brothers in a magical world, who must revive their father before they run out of time.  With Pixar’s history of making series based on their original films, it will very much be refreshing to see them introduce a new story.  And hopefully, it will be one that we will cherish as much as their others.

No Time To Die

No Time to Die           No Time to Die will be the 25th installment in the James Bond film series, and it will feature Daniel Craig as the super spy for the 5th time.  The series as a whole has been making great strides, as its movies have continued to receive praise from fans and critics alike, as Craig’s debut in Casino Royale (2006) kickstarted the acclaim.  With another film on its way next year, it is safe to say this will be another classic addition to the timeless series.
