As a reminder, your ballots must be received by the District Clerk by 5:00pm on June 9, 2020 in order to be counted. You may deposit your oath envelopes (with ballot enclosed) at our drop box at the District Office, 62 Old Middletown Road, New City, NY between the hours of 9:00 am to 2:00pm on Saturday, June 6th and 9:00am to 5:00pm on Monday and Tuesday, June 8th and 9th.
The canvassing process will begin at 5:00 PM on June 9, 2020 at the Clarkstown Central School District, 62 Old Middletown Road, New City. Should the canvassing not be completed as of 10:00pm that evening, the process will be recessed. If recessed, all budget vote and election materials will be placed in a secure location and the canvassing process will resume at 9:00am on Wednesday, June 10 (and at 9:00am on each of the following day(s), as necessary, until all votes are tallied). The District will advise the public via website and social media each evening that a recess is necessary.
At all times during the canvassing process, public viewing will be available on https://www.ccsd.edu/boestream. Upon the declaration of the results by the chairman, the Clarkstown Board of Education will convene for a special meeting by video conference and live streamed in order to accept the results of the budget vote and Board of Trustee election.
