    CLUB NEWS

    • Today from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., South's GSTA club will be hosting an event called  "Pride Pebbles". All students and faculty are invited to participate by joining us and painting your very own "Pride Pebble". We will be meeting outside the cafeteria by the basketball courts. We will provide the paint and markers as well as some extra "pebbles" but feel free to bring your own rock/stone/pebble if  possible!  Students and faculty are welcomed to place their "Pride Pebble" here at South either someplace outside, in your classroom, or take it home with you!

    • Friday, June 18th, Centerstage is presenting one final stream of Descendants. Tickets can be found at https://www.centerstagedramaclub.com/tickets. 
    • The Minority Student Union is proud to announce a Profile in Excellence trivia fact related to the Covid pandemic-Dr. Kizzmekia Corbett is the 1st African American Woman to lead a major Vaccine team--her team is responsible for the development of one of the Covid Vaccines.
    • Junior Ayman Taleb was successfully selected to participate in the All-USA High School Japanese Speech Contest on June 26th.  The contest will be held via Zoom. If you are interested in watching the contest and supporting Ayman, please contact Mrs. Uchiyama.  She will provide you with the Zoom link.

If you have any questions, please contact Coach McNamara (mmcnamara@ccsd.edu) by email, in room 306, or leave a message in the athletic office. There is no experience necessary to run cross country and all levels of abilities are welcome!
    • Attention Girls Fall Junior Varsity and Varsity Tennis candidates: There will be an important fall tennis meeting today at 4:30 p.m.on our tennis courts. Bring a friend. Please contact Coach Mascola with any questions.
    • Attention All Tennis Players (and "wanna be" tennis players): There will be a fun tennis mixed doubles tournament today after school. Sign up with a partner or we will assign you a partner. All are welcome! Prizes will be awarded! Please arrive at the tennis courts by 2:15 p.m. Hope to see you there!
