Posted by Martin Cox on 3/24/2020

During the School Closing due to the COVID-19 Health Crisis, Superintendent Dr. Martin D. Cox will seek to keep spirits high across the Clarkstown Central School District with his Superintendent's Rewind, a celebration of accomplishments by school community members in the past.

March 6, 2018

The Felix Festa Middle School was buzzing with activity on March 6, 2018 when the community celebrated the latest advances in technology.

Students, parents, teachers, staff, administrators, and Board of Education members visited the school's gymnasium and roamed in and out of classrooms where teachers and students led the way with the annual Technology Showcase. The activities included, but were not limited to the following: Robotics, 3D Printing, Whitebox Design, Elementary Lego Robotics, Google Classroom, and CO2 Race Cars.

"Tonight, we celebrated the culture of innovation that is thriving in our District," remarked Susan Yom, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. "Every year, the Tech Showcase empowers students at all grade levels to create, design, display, and invent new technologies. It was exciting to hear and see children teaching their parents on how to use the technology with ease."

The Technology Showcase in 2018 was planned, coordinated and led Dr. Matthew Schuchman, STEM Coordinator in 2018, and Technology Instructional Specialists Greg Montague and Christina Amendola.
