October 23-31, 2024 is Red Ribbon Week! Celebrated annually since 1988, the campaign inspires children throughout the country to find creative ways to lead happy, brave and drug-free lives. Felix Festa Middle School is a proud participant.
Facilitated by FFMS' student assistance counselors (SACs) and hosted by the Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.) Club, our Falcons this year organized several lunchtime activities to help their fellow colleagues and classmates be kind to their mind. Our learners and faculty spent the week practicing mindfulness and blowing bubbles of stress away, were visited by Harper — a Hudson Valley Paws for a Cause therapy dog — and posed with friends during Be Your Best Self(ie) Day. These and other resources will allow our CCSD students to make positive choices rather than choosing dangerous, destructive ones.
