Please join us in welcoming Dr. Christopher Macaluso to the Clarkstown Central School District! Effective August 12, Dr. Macaluso was appointed the Assistant Superintendent of Personnel. Having started his career in 2000, Christopher will bring almost 25 years of experience in public education to the District. Prior to his arrival in CCSD, Christopher served in various roles, including middle school math teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, principal, director and executive director.
Most recently, Christopher served as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Personnel in the Greenburgh Central School District and coordinated professional development for approximately 4,000 certified and non-certified staff members in the Yonkers Public Schools. He will draw on 10 years of experience in human resources, with a strong focus on workforce development and leading initiatives that align support to schools. “In this new role, I aim to build upon the existing personnel systems in Clarkstown and introduce innovative approaches to streamline our recruitment and onboarding processes,” said Christopher. “I am also eager to collaborate with central office departments to enhance coherence and offer robust professional-development opportunities for our staff, ultimately strengthening retention.”
