• Current Information Regarding Interscholastic Athletics

    Good Afternoon Clarkstown Community,

We hope this communication finds you healthy and well.

We are pleased to provide an update regarding decisions made by the New York State Department of Health and the Clarkstown Central School District regarding Spring Athletic Spectator attendance.

We had a wonderful Fall 2 Athletic Season and would like to congratulate all Girls Swim, Volleyball, Football, Cheer, and Dance athletes on their accomplishments. The Spring Sports of Boys and Girls Lacrosse, Boys Tennis, Boys and Girls Track and Field, Softball, and Baseball have begun with contests beginning this week. In accordance with updated information from the New York State Department of Health Interim Guidance for Sport and Recreation document, the following practices will be implemented for all home and away contests:

The continuation of only TWO spectators per active athlete, not to exceed 200 per contest, will be permitted to attend home and away Modified, Freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity dual contests with the exception of multi-team Track Invitationals where NO spectators will be permitted.
All spectators are required to wear masks appropriately, with mouth and nose fully covered, and distance appropriately. These health and safety protocols will be enforced during all athletic events.
Spectator daily Wellness Screening mandates will not be required; however, spectators are expected to only attend events when asymptomatic.
Athletes, officials, coaches and all District staff working the game will still be required to fill out a daily Wellness Screening survey.
