Current Information Regarding Interscholastic Athletics

Dear Clarkstown School Community,
We are pleased to share with you decisions from the Clarkstown Central School District regarding Fall Athletics.
Section I Interscholastic Athletics has approved the following low and moderate risk sports to begin on September 29th. Consequently, Clarkstown Athletics will begin tryouts for these sports on:
Varsity Cross Country: September 29
Varsity Field Hockey: September 29
Junior Varsity Field Hockey: October 2
Varsity Girls and Boys Soccer: September 29
Junior Varsity Girls and Boys Soccer: October 2
Varsity Girls Tennis: September 29
Junior Varsity Girls Tennis: October 2

- Fall Sports designated as High Risk, to include Cheer, Dance, Football, Boys and Girls Volleyball will be conducted during a second Fall Season beginning on March 1st, 2021.
- Due to pool venue unavailability at the present moment, Girls Swimming is anticipated to be conducted during the second Fall Season beginning on March 1st, 2021. Final decisions on this are forthcoming.
- Section I Interscholastic Athletics has not finalized decisions regarding the reentry of the fall sports of Modified Cross Country, Modified Soccer, Modified Field Hockey, and Modified Girls Tennis (Festa grades 7 and 8). Information on this is forthcoming.
- Section I Interscholastic Athletics has not finalized decisions regarding the Winter and Spring Athletic Seasons. Information on these two seasons are forthcoming.
Rules and procedures for conducting games and contests for Cross Country, Field Hockey, Soccer, and Girls Tennis as it pertains to spectator attendance, venue capacity requirements, seating and distancing mandates, and other required Department of Health safeguards, will be shared prior to the first scheduled contests.
