Link Family Misses You!

  • Dear Link Families,

First and foremost, we are writing in the hopes that you are remaining safe, healthy and in good spirits during this unprecedented Pandemic. Please know that we care about you and are here to support you and your children with their education and emotional well being. As a Link family, though apart, we will take on this challenge and get through this together.

All classroom, special area and support teachers and staff will continue to be in contact with you via email, phone and online resources. Instruction is framed by the curriculum standards and delivered to students through a variety of platforms and resources; most specifically,   Seesaw and/or Google Classroom. We all understand and are sympathetic to the many demands placed on parents and teachers to simultaneously work, support the online home instruction of children, care for a family and its needs, and worry about the uncertainties of this health crisis. Recognizing this, and to give children and families some “breathing time” assignments can be paced to meet your needs and we will institute  “Flexible Friday.” Flexible Friday learning takes on a new look,  affording an opportunity for students to catch up on previous assignments, and/or to engage in enriching activities and learning games—all with a good balance of fun!  Teachers continue to hold office hours and are available for emails from 9:00 - 11:30a.m., Monday - Friday. We are committed to providing instruction that is engaging, aligned with curriculum and can be completed with a level of independence by most students.

If you need further support with your child’s lessons, please contact your teacher. Reach out to Mrs. Grundstein or Mrs. Anello for questions and support with anxiety, fear or emotional needs of your child.

Our shared vision for your child’s education and continued learning during this challenging time remains unchanged. The IB Learner Profile guides teachers and students as we engage in the remote learning process. Together we can support one another and hopefully, emerge even stronger.

As always, thank you for your support and understanding. Stay positive, strong, safe and healthy!  We MISS the children and each other.

Mrs. Cuccia and our Link Staff
