CCSD Welcomes New Coordinator of Fine and Performing Arts

New performing arts director

#ClarkstownCSD is delighted to welcome Casey Vanderstouw to the newly created role of Coordinator of Fine and Performing Arts. Casey will oversee our arts and music programs and collaborate with teachers across the district.

Casey comes to CCSD from Baldwinsville High School in Baldwinsville, NY where he not only taught music, but led both the marching and field bands all the way to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and The Rose Parade, two bucket list goals that he'd had since his own days performing in his high school's marching band. In addition to his stellar career as a band leader, Casey was also inducted into the Syracuse Area Music Awards Hall of Fame and was nominated for a Grammy Music Educator Award, among a long list of accolades. "Clarkstown really supports its arts and music program and it's exciting to be able to be in this role for the first time," says Casey. "It's a blank slate so you can really create it with everybody and do some really cool projects with the students. I want them to be proud of what they're doing."

Welcome, Casey! Your arrival is music to our District!
