A Taste of Success: FFMS Students Reap the Rewards of the Salad-to-Seed Program

Felix Festa Middle School students and teacher Michaela Muckell once again teamed up with Cornell Garden-Based Learning’s Seed-to-Salad program to turn the C-School Courtyard into a living classroom. Cornell’s Master Gardeners showed the Falcons how to grow everything from beets and radishes to cilantro and leafy greens during the spring. The project wrapped up on June 10 with a homegrown Salad Party, where students harvested their hard work and shared a fresh, courtyard-to-table meal with guests.
