Registration

1. Complete the registration process with the district Registrar which includes a CPSE Referral, by downloading, reviewing and completing the registration packet.

2. A Prior Written Notice (PWN) Consent for Initial Evaluation will be sent to you by mail together with a list of evaluating agencies. Upon return of the signed PWN Consent for Initial Evaluation, the agency you've selected will be informed. They will contact you directly to schedule the evaluation.
    
3. The evaluation will include the following, at no cost to the parent:
   • An individualized psychological evaluation
   • A social history
   • An observation
   • Other appropriate assessments or evaluations as necessary to ascertain physical, language or emotional factors, which may contribute to the suspected disability.
      
4. Once the evaluation process is completed, the parents/guardians will be provided with written reports by the evaluating agency.
    
5. You will be invited to an Initial Eligibility CPSE meeting to determine if your child is eligible to be classified as a student with a disability and receive special education services. If your child is eligible for services, specific services will be determined at this meeting.

If your child will turn 5 on or before December 1, 2025 you may register for Kindergarten for the 2025-26 school year, starting in September.

Kindergarten registration will kick off with an event at each CCSD elementary school that runs February - May. To be added to the registration list, receive applications and other information, please contact your child's school. If you do not know which school your child will attend, please contact the district registrar.

After May, submit the above packet directly to the registrar as per the 3 steps outlined above.

Two-Way Dual Language Program For Kindergarteners 

The Dual Language Program is available to all families of incoming kindergarten students. Students enrolled in the Dual Language Program will receive the District’s complete grade level curriculum through the child’s home language and the second language.

The registration packet (grades 1-12 only), is available to print here in English or Spanish, or you may request a hard copy. To have a copy mailed to you, please contact the district registrar and be sure to include your name, address and number of children you will be registering.
