POLL HOURS:  7:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m.

District 2: CONGERS COMMUNITY CENTER, 8 Gilchrest Road, Congers, NY 

District 3: CHESTNUT GROVE ADMINISTRATIVE CENTER, 62 Old Middletown Road, New City, NY 

District 4: ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI PARISH CENTER, 128 Parrott Road, West Nyack, NY

PLEASE TAKE NOTE:  The polling places listed above remain unchanged. However, as a result of revisions to the School District’s election district boundaries, some voters may be assigned to a different polling location than in prior years. Newly registered and current voters are encouraged to verify their assigned election district and polling place through the District’s Voter Information Portal at https://vip.ntsteamed.com/ or by contacting the Office of the District Clerk at (845) 639-6455.

Absentee Ballots (School & Library Budget Votes) & Early Mail Ballots (School Board Election/Budget Votes Only):

Registered voters may request an application for an absentee or early mail ballot by downloading it below or calling (845) 639-6455. Completed applications must be received by the District Clerk at least seven days before the election (if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter) or the day before the election (if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter or the voter’s designated agent).

The first day to apply for an absentee or early mail ballot is 30 days before the election =  April 20, 2026.  

• The last day to request an Absentee or EMV ballot to be mailed to the voter = May 12, 2026
• The last day to apply in person for an Absentee or EMV ballot = May 18, 2026

Absentee and Early Mail ballots must be returned to the District Clerk's Office by Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 5pm.

Voter Registration:

To find out if you are registered to vote for school district events, please visit the CCSD Voter Information Portal  https://vip.ntsteamed.com/ or contact the District Clerk's Office at (845) 639-6455

• Register by mail or in person with the:  Rockland County Board of Elections, 11 New Hempstead Road, New City, NY 10956    (845) 638-5172  Note: All voters registered with the Rockland County Board of Elections are eligible to vote.
• Voters may register online with the Department of Motor Vehicles 
• Or for personal registration for school events only:  Chestnut Grove District Offices, 62 Old Middletown Road, New City, NY 10956  (845) 639-6455, weekdays from 8:30am-4pm until May 12, 2026.

Information for Prospective School Board Candidates

The Clarkstown Central School District is served by a seven-member Board of Education. The Board, as a legally-constituted body of elected representatives, bears the responsibility of setting policy for the school district. Each member is elected by a public vote and serves a three-year term, without pay. For more information on Board responsibilities, see Policy Series 2000: School Board Governance and Operations.

Process for Prospective School Board Candidates:

Nominating petitions for the May 19, 2026 Board of Education Election must be filed with the District Clerk by April 20, 2026 at 5pm (30 days before the election). Candidate packets are available online (above). Prior to submitting your petitions, please check the packet shared above for updates (or contact the District Clerk's office and provide your contact information) for new information or events.

What Prospective School Board Candidates Should Expect:

Board of Education members attend regular meetings which are held one to two times a month.  The meetings are typically on Thursday evenings.  Additional special meetings and workshops may be added to the schedule, as needed. Trustees also serve on Board or District committees.  Trustees attend New York State School Board Association or other professional organizations' webinars, conferences or training sessions throughout the year.
