    The Youth Employment Program (YEP) is a youth workforce preparation initiative providing employment training and possible job placement for eligible youth ages 14-24. Prior to placement, young people may be considered for our pre-employment training program, T.E.E.N. Works (Teen Employment Education Network). This interactive workforce training experience helps participants develop and practice essential workplace competencies such as communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving, critical thinking abilities, conflict resolution and workplace ethics.

    The National MS Society Volunteer Engagement team is seeking volunteers for their Walk MS Rockland on June 10, 2023.

     

    Volunteer activities include but are not limited to: setting up the site, registration, greeters, passing out t-shirts, working with our VIP walkers, organizing the food service area, handing out food to walkers, being at the rest stop passing out water, cheering at the finish, tearing down and assisting with various tasks as needed, etc. All volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and be eligible for community service hour verification.

  • Columbia Engineering’s Summer High School Academic Program for Engineers

    SHAPE is a pre-college program for current high school students to experience Columbia Engineering courses. SHAPE provides opportunities for high-achieving students to explore fields ranging from biomedical engineering to environmental sustainability. Students also participate in workshops to hone their communication and leadership skills, with opportunities to connect with current undergraduate and graduate students at Columbia to learn about the college experience. All courses are taught by Columbia Engineering faculty.

    Summer 2023 will have two sessions, each lasting three weeks (Session 1: July 5-July 25; Session 2: July 26-August 15), and each day goes from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The total cost for one session is $4900.

  • Summer Internship Opportunity for Current Juniors (Class of 2024)

    The School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology is offering a paid virtual summer research program for high school students. In this six-week program, students will have the opportunity to work alongside a faculty member from the School of Business and assist them with research in their area of study such as management, leadership or finance.

  • USC Viterbi School of Engineering University of Southern California Virtual Summer Camp

    The camps were founded as a joint effort of The Institute for Education and The USC Department of Computer Science to provide students with an early education into computer science, engineering, and applied physical science.
