  • Rockland Community Action Program
     
    Rockland Community Action Program is seeking volunteers who can assist with loading food into its van
    at the Stony Point Regional distribution site and unload it again upon arrival at its food pantry (about 5
    miles—or 15 minutes—away). Volunteers will meet at the Cornell Cooperative Extension parking lot in
    Stony Point to help load the Rockland Community Action’s van with food, then follow the van (using
    their own car) to the Haverstraw Community Action site in Haverstraw or to the Spring Valley
    Community Action site to help unload the food. 1.5 hours of volunteer time twice a month.

    Qualifications/Requirements:
     Age 18 and over
     Ability to commit at least two hours each pickup
     Positive attitude and a team player
     Ability to lift about 30 pounds
     Willing to volunteer during inclement weather
