    Math Fact Fluency



    • Students will be able to utilize addition and subtraction facts fluently to solve problems.

    • Students are expected to add and subtract within 1,000.



    • Trimester 1:

      • Students will be able to automatically recall skip counting sequences for 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 (multiplication readiness.)

      • Students will be able to divide into equal groups.

    • Trimester 2:

      • Students will be able to automatically recall multiplication tables of 0, 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, square numbers (i.e. 3x3 and 7x7), and single-digit division of these facts.

    • Trimester 3:

      • Students will be able to automatically recall multiplication facts for tables 0 through 10, square numbers, and recall division facts that are related.


    * Please review addition and subtraction facts from Second Grade on a regular basis.

    * Please practice multiplication and division facts daily once they are introduced!

    * Students will take fact tests throughout the year to build fluency and confidence.


    Math Homework consists of 60 minutes per week (Friday-Friday) of Dreambox Learning. This online program reinforces skills on your child's level and at his or her personal pace.
