Parent/guardians of students who are of school age may decide to provide required instruction at home. If the student resides in Clarkstown, Clarkstown Central School District is responsible to report to the state that the student is being educated at home. Parents/guardians should take the time to review the regulations outlined by New York State and remember to notify CCSD by July 1 of each school year of their intent to instruct their child at home. Every family instructing their child at home will be required to submit an individualized home instruction plan (IHIP). All regulations and requirements will be mailed to the student’s parent/guardian within 10 business day of receiving notification of the intent to home instruct a student.
