"Wild About Reading" Finale

On March 1, 2004, P.A.R.P. (Parents As Reading Partners) presented their annual play for the children of Link to encourage recreational reading at home. The parents and teachers performed four Aesop's Fables for both the primary and intermediate grades.

The mouse plays around near the lion.

Hunters (parents) capture the lion.

Moral 1: Kind acts are always repaid by kindness


Moral 2: Don't judge people by how  they look, but by how they act.

The Boy Who Cried Wolf

The lying Shepard boy cries "Wolf" and the villagers come to help save him.

The wolf attacks the Shepard boy because the villagers no longer believe his cries of "Wolf".

Moral: No one believes a liar, so always tell the truth.

The grasshopper dances and plays while the ants store food for the winter.
