Young Authors Celebration
2005
The Young Author's Celebration is our way of
acknowledging the hard work and determination that our students have put forth
in creating a piece of history, a book! This student publication of quality marks the culmination of their learning successes during Readers and Writers
Workshop. The topics selected by individual student authors represent
"things of importance" to them. The variety of works include all
genre: poetry,
riddles, informational books, fairy tales, realistic fiction, mysteries,
adventure stories, fantasies, science fiction, and personal narratives.
Throughout the week, many exciting activities occurred to commemorate this
special occasion. It provided students with different forums to proudly share
their stories. We congratulate our children and are very proud of their
achievements!
