Student Assistance Counselor

FROM THE DESK OF CHIP JAMES

For those of you who don’t already know me, I am your Student Assistance Counselor. I provide support to students in individual/group sessions, as well as, "as needed", counseling sessions. I am also available to parents for consultation and referral. My background is in clinical social work, school social work and substance abuse treatment and prevention.

I am at Link School 1 ½ days per week as I cover three schools in the Clarkstown Central School District. My contact with parents and children is confidential and does not become a part of the educational record, except when my name appears on documents related to a child’s special education services.
