CONCLUSION

This lesson will allow students to apply the Big6 research process and the online search strategies (keywords, quotes and Boolean indicators) to access information and primary sources on the Internet about the treason plot that occurred in Rockland County during the Revolutionary War. The students will realize the importance of primary sources in writing accurate accounts of history. Finally, they will integrate the information from the multiple sources, present the information using appropriate technologies and synthesize their facts into an interesting newspaper article using the "writing process" and their research notes. When students gather information for research it is always a good idea to have them present their data in a different genre from the original.

CRITICAL THINKING

     strategically important to the Americans?

2.  What might have happened if Major Andre had not been captured with
      the plans?

3. How would history be different if Benedict Arnold died at the Battle of Saratoga?
