American Commander Turns Traitor
by Matt
A famous American patriot, Benedict Arnold, turned over plans of West Point to Major John Andre. West Point protects the river so we can stop the British from delivering supplies. Three American militiamen caught Major Andre with the plans in his boot. We found out from Josiah Hett Smith that Andre and Arnold met in his house to discuss the plans to capture West Point. Andre gave Arnold 10,000 pounds sterling for the plans. After Andre was caught, he was held prisoner in the Old' 76 House. The Dutch Church was where the trial took place. After the trial, Andre was hung as a spy but Arnold escaped to the Vulture to fight against his countrymen. Will we ever catch Arnold? All we can do is hope we win without Arnold!
