INTRODUCTION

The aim of this WebQuest is to have students determine keywords in specific questions and then be able to apply keyword search strategies in accessing information on the Internet to answer questions from online databases, and atlases. The students will use quotes and the Boolean "and" or + when entering their search statement in Yahooligans. They will practice reading and scanning for information, and recording the correct answer to geographic and historical questions. In addition, the students will review their knowledge of social studies and enhance their map skills. Students will also practice their questioning skills by developing their own geography questions and creating their own treasure hunt to a mysterious destination.
