Stories, often set in the future, that use elements of science. Science fiction stories are based upon how science and technology will affect humans in the future. Some science fiction stories are set on other planets or tell of aliens from outer space. Examples of science fiction books are The Iron Giant, The Time Machine, and War of the Worlds.
