Fairy Tales
Fairy tales, also known as wonder tales, are folktales, stories that have been told from one generation to the next. A fairy tale is an adventure in which the heroes are often royalty or friends of royalty and the villains are evil witches, sorcerers, giants or monsters. Magic plays a big role in many of the fairy tales. At times they contain a romantic element like in Beauty and the Beast. These stories were told to children to prepare them for society and teach them right from wrong. Good usually triumphs over evil and evil is always punished in fairy tales. Some examples are Cinderella, The Frog Prince and Hansel and Gretel.
