Mrs Cohen says, "At Pretend children expand upon social, emotional and oral development, writing, role playing, performance, creative play, and dramatic expression." The Kids Say, "You could pretend to be a firefighter. You could play house and be the mom or big sister- you can be anybody you want - you just act like it." What do you learn? "We learn to do things that you want to do. You learn to be a doctor because you pretend to be a doctor. "when you're playing house and you're the mom then you can grow up and know how to be a mom."
