The Internet is a powerful and
invaluable tool that can offer students more information and
experiences than imagined possible. However, as we all know and may
have experienced, there are risks of allowing students full access
to the World Wide Web. Students should be taught what appropriate
usage entails and given proper supervision to safeguard them from
the potential dangers that lurk the World Wide Web. While we do not
diminish the student's personal responsibility in using computer
resources, we believe that as educators, we must be vigilant and
guide our students to the best of our ability.
