Indian Artifacts

By Adam, Jennifer, Shannon, Devin, Dylan

We are doing research on artifacts. An artifact is something made by people before us. Now, we are going to tell you about some interesting artifacts.

Arrowheads: Arrowheads are a type of Indian artifact. Some arrowheads are thick in the middle and thin on the point and edges. Hunters tied arrowheads to all different weapons. If you find an arrowhead look carefully for a material called flint. Flint is a skinny sliver of stone that fell to the ground when the arrowheads were being shaped

Pipestone Pipes: The pipestone is a special red stone which has been quarried in Pipestone, MN. All tribes come and quarry the stone in peace. Did you know pipes have the widest number of different styles?
