Keep Your Math Skills Sharp!
To meet the Strawtown Summer Challenge 2008 requirements for math, and to keep on top of your math facts, you should practice basic math facts or work on math problems for 10 minutes a day, three times a week throughout the summer. All that is required is that you and your parent initial the attached calendar, indicating that math facts were practiced or math problems were worked on. The calendar can be handed in the first week of school c/o Site Based Strawtown Summer Challenge 2008. You can practice using flashcards or by logging onto any one of these websites:

This site has many challenging word problems in all areas of math.
You can always benefit from extra math practice, as well as daily application of math problem solving. Calculate how much money you can save in coupons, estimate how much dinner at a restaurant will cost once everyone has ordered, or create your own schedule of daily activities, calculating how much time you have between each activity.
