drive up to Rockland after a day game at the Polo Grounds to shoot
scenes at Eckerson’s field in Haverstraw. . . Unfortunately, an
incident during filming caused him to be sidelined for several games . .

bugs drawn by the bright movie lights dared to bite the home run king on
