World War II Assignments
Due Tuesday, 3/4 - Use pp. 924-929 to add to the notes you began in class. Your notes should show the sequence of events described in the section and should identify the terms, people, and places listed on p. 924.
Due Wednesday, 3/5 - Use pp. 930-934 to create a detailed timeline of World War II events between 1939 and 1941. Use specific dates so that you can track the order of events.
Due Thursday, 3/6 - Read pp. 935-938. Complete the note-taking activity on p. 935.
Due Friday, 3/7 - Use pp. 939-945 to do the note taking activity on p. 939 and answer #2-5 on p. 945
Due Monday, 3/10 - Read and take notes on pp. 948-951. Use the checkpoint questions to guide your notes. Make sure the terms, people and places listed on p.948 are defined in your notes.

Due Wednesday, 1/29 - Read pp. 874-877 and take notes about changes in Japan in the 1920s and the rise of Japanese militarism in the 1930s
**NHD run-offs (for students who have signed up to enter the competition) due on Friday, 1/31.
Due Tuesday, 2/4 - Read pp. 912-917 and take notes about Germany’s Weimar Republic and Hitler's rise to power. Define important terms and make sure the checkpoint questions are answered in your notes.

Due Monday, 2/24 - Holocaust Project topic selection - submit a paragraph briefly describing the format for your project (prose, poetry, visual arts or video), the topic, and one source you've consulted so far.
Due Wednesday, 2/26 - Holocaust Project for Siegelbaum competition:
Prose = 12 pt font, no more than 500 words; Poetry = 12 pt font, minimum of one page; Visual Arts = no more than 30"x 40"; Video = no more than 10 minute
** In addition to the project itself, you must write a paragraph explaining why you chose this topic and how it connects to our study of the Holocaust. Briefly discuss the sources you used and explain how they added to your project. Include a works cited list in MLA format underneath your paragraph.
